In case you don't know Becky!
Becky (Suscheck) Lawson  has lived in Erie, Pennsylvania all her life and learned the definition of hard work by growing up on her family's dairy farm. Becky's determination and solid work ethic kept her employed with several employers throughout her career and the experience that she gained helped her open her own bakery that became a very poplar stop every morning with all of her customers. Soon after the opening of the bakery Becky started to develop health issues which led to her decision to close the business. Shortly after that her husband passed away and it was then she was informed by her doctor that she is suffering from liver failure. In short, if she does not get a liver transplant in the next year and half she will be lucky to be alive. Becky got some good news recently that she has been placed on the transplant list for a liver transplant! Even though that sounds like great news (which it is) there are still hurtles for her. She will be responsible for over $90,000.00 for the transplant in addition to the cost to have someone drive her to Cleveland, OH every week for treatment and all the medication expenses. Becky has worked all her life to make the community a better place for others, now she needs a little help. This website has been set up as a means to inform Becky's friends and family on her condition and fund raising efforts to save her life. We sincerely appreciate your interest in this site and may God Bless You!

Update on Becky
Becky received a call from the Cleveland Clinic on 1/18 that they had a liver available. Becky and her cousin Vicky jumped in the car and started to head to Cleveland. They got approx 30 min outside Erie when the hospital called again to tell her the liver was not going to be viable, so they had to turn around and return home. The good news is that she is now at the top of the list, bad news was she has to keep on waiting. Please keep her in your prayers and if you can make a contribution towards her medical expenses we would all appreciate your help!

Update 2/19/13

The fund raiser dinner that our family held for Becky on 2/17 was an out standing success and a big THANK YOU to all that helped. Since our last update Becky has been called two more times by the hospital for stand by (she was #2 on the list) and both times the first person on the transplant list opted for the liver. The good news is that she is now #1 on the list and it is only a matter of time.
